چکیده

In this paper we propose a concavely regularized convex relaxation based graph matching algorithm. The graph matching problem is firstly formulated as a constrained convex quadratic program by relaxing the feasible set from the permutation matrices to doubly stochastic matrices. To gradually push the doubly stochastic matrix back to be a permutation one, an objective function is constructed by adding a simple weighted concave regularization to the convex relaxation. By gradually increasing the weight of the concave term, minimization of the objective function will gradually push the doubly stochastic matrix back to be a permutation one. A concave–convex procedure (CCCP) together with the Frank–Wolfe algorithm is adopted to minimize the objective function. The algorithm can be used on any types of graphs and exhibits a comparable performance as the PATH following algorithm, a state-of-the-art graph matching algorithm but applicable only on undirected graphs. & 2014 Elsevier B.V. A Weight Regularized Relaxation Based Graph Matching Algorithm

In this paper we propose a regularized relaxation based graph matching algorithm. To gradually push the doubly stochastic matrix back to a permutation one, a simple weighted concave regular term is added to the convex objective function. The concave ...

A Convex-Concave Relaxation Procedure Based Subgraph Matching Algorithm

Based on the convex-concave relaxation procedure (CCRP), the (extended) path following algorithms were recently proposed to approximately solve the equal-sized graph matching problem, and exhibited a state-of-the-art performance (Zaslavskiy et al., 2009; Liu et al., 2012). However, they cannot be used for subgraph matching since either their convex or concave relaxation becomes no longer applic...

Path following algorithm for the graph matching problem

We propose a convex-concave programming approach for the labeled weighted graph matching problem. The convex-concave programming formulation is obtained by rewriting the graph matching problem as a least-square problem on the set of permutation matrices and relaxing it to two different optimization problems: a quadratic convex and a quadratic concave optimization problem on the set of doubly st...

Parallel Jobs Scheduling with a Specific Due Date: Asemi-definite Relaxation-based Algorithm

This paper considers a different version of the parallel machines scheduling problem in which the parallel jobs simultaneously requirea pre-specifiedjob-dependent number of machines when being processed. This relaxation departs from one of the classic scheduling assumptions. While the analytical conditions can be easily statedfor some simple models, a graph model approach is required when confli...

Exact recovery with symmetries for the Doubly-Stochastic relaxation

Graph matching or quadratic assignment, is the problem of labeling the vertices of two graphs so that they are as similar as possible. A common method for approximately solving the NP-hard graph matching problem is relaxing it to a convex optimization problem over the set of doubly stochastic matrices. Recent analysis has shown that for almost all pairs of isomorphic and asymmetric graphs, the ...
